WebExposure to cytotoxic agents may result in inhibition of cell growth, reduction in metabolic activity, and, ultimately, cell death. Cytotoxicity screening experiments are performed to investigate fundamental cell and tissue processes, evaluate safety, model disease progression, and develop novel treatment strategies.
