WebDec 8, 2024 · Corpse pile is for "sentient" corpses and bits only, including animal people, goblins, troglodytes etc. Refuse pile is for beasts and critters. Having a 1x1 dump zone behind a door can be useful to quickly move miasma-prone items out of the public areas. The moody dwarf will grab the ghost, drag him to a workshop and butcher it.
