WebFisherman's Island has 81 rustic sites located on two loops a mile apart. The sites are heavily wooded, well shaded and very secluded. A row of sites, 10 to 15 of them, are located right on a sandy stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline, tucked away in the trees with a table and a spot to pitch a tent only a few feet from the lapping waters of the Great Lake. WebFishermens Bend Overview. Fishermen’s Bend Recreation Site Campground includes 170 acres along the North Santiam River among a forest of Douglas fir, hemlock and cedar trees. With 63 campsites, there are 2 cabins, 6 group, and a few tent campsites. There are two loops in the campground (C and R) and w e have photos of the ‘C’ loop.
