In any case, my ambient room temps are usually around 25c. Water temp is around 37-39 at idle. CPU idles 55-60c with ~5% load. Gaming is usually around 75c or so. WebAnd the only way you'll get traditional water cooling temps is by hooking your loop up to a big boy chip, like a threadripper, epyc etc. I have a 5950x as well. First I had it cooled by a 360mm AIO and got 82c, now I have a custom ekwb loop with three 360x60mm radiators and the 5950x still hits 82c and 22c water temps, nothing has changed. Things I've done: Tried all 4 ram sticks separately. Cleared CMOS multiple times. Re seated gpu. Tried booting w/o a gpu then realized the 5950x doesn't have an igpu. Webno, these aren't normal temps. about 10-15C to high. occasionally 80+C is tolerable, you should head for occasional 70+C on die package. you'd need a monitored coolant temp to see what's going on .. reseat the cpu block, high idle on stock settings seems a sign for bad contact.
