So in one measure in 4/4 there would be two triplets written as quarter notes; so 6 quarter notes total which I get but then the 3 beats of the triplet get subdivided further. So what I listed is the subdivision of one of the triplets. Beat one of the triplet is a quarter so not divided. Of course, this is not an exact science and the lyrical answer is probably the correct one here, but just in case you see this happening elsewhere, this is a possible explanation.
